This week Stevie and the Bluescasters & Bethlehem and Sad Patrick
Stevie and the Bluescasters- is a three-piece acoustic blues band from Philadelphia consisting of vocals, acoustic guitars, mandolin, National Steel and wood body Resonator, harmonica and percussion. They play unique arrangements of all kinds of blues: Old Country blues including Piedmont, Delta , and Texas Chicago blues, some old gospel, old country, and a pinch of R&B thrown into the mix. They also include a smattering of International "Blues - Mourna (Creole Portuguese from Cape Verde) Irish Sean Nos, Portuguese Fado and Ladino.
Bethlehem- is a singer, songwriter, and percussionist – a vocussionist in her terms – who was described as “Germantown’s next rising star” by WHYY/NewsWorks Philadelphia after the release of her first solo album, “Bigger Than Music” to local acclaim.
Sad Patrick- is a songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist who was kicked out of the Calliope School of Folk Music when he started using “jazz” chords. He earned the name “Sad” based on his early songs, and liked the sound of it.
