Looking for a good way to social distance while enjoying nature and beer? Head down to the Wissahickon to hike or bike some trails, and then finish the day with a pint at Attic Brewing Company. With over 50 miles of trails, Wissahickon Valley Park is a great place to spend the remaining days of Fall.
The Wissahickon was where the Lenni Lenape used to hunt and fish. Eventually, Forbidden Drive was the site of numerous taverns and roadhouses. Those taverns and roadhouses are gone now, but you can find evidence of their existence throughout the park.
It’s our job to chip in and preserve this beautiful park, so make sure to pack all the items you took in with you. The Friends of the Wissahickon rely on volunteers and visitors to care for the 1,800 acre park for the natural wildlife that live there. If you're lucky, you might see some of the wildlife that lives there. The Wissahickon is home to owls, chickadees, woodpeckers, bluejays, cardinals and many more!
We love having a park of this magnitude in our breweries backyard. It’s a great way to get out of the city and get out of your own head. Go enjoy the fresh air before treating yourself with a fresh pint.

I liked reading the guide about the Wissahickon trails and how much nature and history there is around Attic Brewing and the park. The part about hiking then enjoying the outdoors made me think of when I was really stuck on a big essay and I went out after using academic assignment help UK because I was tired of sitting inside all day and needed fresh air to reset. It reminded me that taking small breaks and finding balance helps me stay calm and focused.
This guide to the Wissahickon from Attic Brewing really captures how exploring trails and streams makes Philly feel like a hidden playground right in the city’s backyard. It reminded me of a week when I was buried in coursework and needed a breather, and in that stretch I even had to take my online WGU class for me as that service at the time so I could step outside and reset with friends. It’s a great reminder that nature and balance go hand in hand with staying productive.
I really enjoyed your guide to hiking the Wissahickon and then capping the day with a fresh pint at Attic Brewing, especially how you pointed out the trails and wildlife to look for along the way. I remember a weekend when I was swamped with school work and had to hire someone to take my online Management class just so I could get out there without stress, explore the woods, and really relax before grabbing a cold beer.
